No wonder no one takes either of the Koreas seriously anymore.  In response to the North Korean sinking of a military ship in which 46 crew died, S Korea has decided to blast music at N Korea through the demilitarized zone.  Oh well, I guess it's better than war.

We don't need no stinkin' corkscrews

It used to be that if you bought a bottle of wine with a screw top, you were a wino.  Now I really don't like buying any wine with a cork.  So what happens if you buy a bottle of wine and find out it has a cork and you don't have a corkscrew handy?  Leave it to the French to solve the problem.  Actually, this could come in handy one day.

Sylvain Fortier from the Montreal area wonders why people are upset that he let his 7 year old drive the car while his family was in it.  Ahh Sylvain, that's probably not a great idea, but that's not where you really went wrong, because fortunately, nothing happened as a result of your supidity.  Your mistake was posting it on YouTube.  What were you thinking?  Obviously, you weren't and as a result of that posting, you and your family are now in a world of grief from the public outcry.  Don't worry, Sylvain, it will be all over in a few months.

You have to check out this post and video about Jerrie Thill on Going Like Sixty's blog.  I also played the drums on the Preston Scout House (Canada) drum and bugle corps when I was a teenager in the late 50s and early 60s.  I was so sad when we moved to the U.S. for a couple of years because I had to give it up and while I played in other bands, none of then were at the level Scout House was.  My last year there,we traveled thousands of miles as we won almost every competition we went in.  Maybe I'll take that up again when I get older but I doubt my shorts would still fit.  I think that's me, 2nd drum from right below.
