Watch an eagle's nest as eggs are about to hatch

We are blessed to have a large number of eagles in the Vancouver Lower Mainland as you can see in the picture below of 8 eagles in a tree just a few hundred yards from our balcony. 

An infra-red camera set up by Hancock Wildlife Foundation(24 hr viewing) has been set up above a nest in Delta B.C. where you can watch eagles sitting on their soon to be hatched eggs.  This is attracting a huge following (nature can be a little startling as when her mate brought her a 1/2 dead duck to eat) and you can chat in the forum.  Click on the play button below.

Eagle activity on the Richmond dyke

Just thought I'd share some shots with you on this beautiful but cold sunny morning in the Vancouver area.  Snow coming this weekend.  Great- snow in March and the daffodils are already about a foot high and ready to bloom.

There is a big old dead tree not far from the house where 1 or 2 eagles perch from time to time.  Lately there seems to be quite a few more around and this morning I counted no less than 7 flying around, screeching at each other.  Then I noticed a few flying unusually close to a tree near the house that they never land on and then I saw why.  There is a young eagle in the tree and if you look at the picture, you can see the branches are very dense so it must have been very difficult for it to land there.  Also, the swan I posted about a couple of weeks ago is still here.  It sure likes Shreddies.
