I guess to be politically correct I should say Happy Holidays but when you get to be my age, old habits die hard. Whatever your beliefs or non-beliefs, best wishes.
If you have a gmail account, Google will send your U.S. bound cards free via snail mail. The only condition is that they'll do it while supplies last, so get to it.
Sony/BMG and The Savvy Boomer are teaming up to give away some Christmas CD's. They include Elvis, Yo-Yo Ma, New Kids on the Block and Kristin Chenoweth.
We're kicking it off today with the King. Leave a comment on this post and we'll randomly draw the winners on Dec 13 so you'll receive your prize in time for Christmas. Good luck!
We had a tradition in our house when I was a kid at Christmas. No one could open any presents until my mother who was of British stock and the rest of us watched the Queen's Christmas speech which was usually broadcast in Canada at 8AM. Most of my other friends were already out trying out their new skates or skis but no, we had to wait and see what Liz had to say.
But if my mother were alive today, she'd be able to watch HRM on the YouTube Royal Channel on Christmas morning whenever she wanted. What a great idea and you can be sure this will become one of the most viewed channels ever if the wildly popular (with the women anyway) Princes Harry and William make some appearances.
